Then the world stopped. Covid19 locked down the entire world. One virus can destroy life as we know it.
In being restricted in all areas of life it makes me take stock of my God given gifts, talents and abilities. How am I making a difference in the world?
Recently I watched a story about a gardener; he was no ordinary gardener but apart from being a wonderful gardener he was working amongst the ruins of a city destroyed by bombs. This was the last gardener from Aleppo. He grew herbs from remnants that he had left, as well as flowers which people were buying to give them hope. His son used to work beside him, so proud to help his father, to bring joy to the people in crisis. The smell of the herbs and the colour of the flowers were a source of healing and hope to many people. This had me thinking….
For the first time in my life, at 79 the world as I know it has changed within a period of a month, with the virus spiraling – unstoppable and there has been nothing anyone can do about it. It has shut large cities down, countries even and people all over the world have been ordered into isolation, businesses are closed, stores except for the essentials we depend on closed down.
Every random act of kindness gives an emotion that has not surfaced in one self for a long time. Bringing memories to a recall, fragrances, music and dancing as if no one is watching. I ask myself what I am doing. What value do I add to life?
I would like to share some of the secrets I have picked up over 60 years in beauty therapy but also in my personal capacity. When you look better, you feel better. With time on my hands I would like share and be of service to you with my God given gifts, talents and abilities.
